Norton Pond

We got up bright and early and drove about 10 miles to Norton Pond. It was foggy and very eerie when we put in. It was fun to see the mist roll over the pond and finally lift.

We immediately saw two loons with two babies. Very neat. We saw a peregrine falcon (we think) nest, herons, frogs, cedar waxwings, a mink (yes, so cool), and many other small birds.

We kayaked all of the southern end (it is a big pond) and explored all of the coves and inlets. It was a great 3 hour/3 mile kayak that was very lazy and relaxing.
